Howdy all! I’m a husband, father and Christian living in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I’ve spent the last 15+ years of my career in the design and development of computer-based training and web products. I’ve worked on web sites for companies, critical training courses for the military, game designs for Hasbro and independent presses, community outreach campaigns, international fellowship efforts and private multimedia projects.
I have a passion for the web and computer training that most of my friends can’t even comprehend. At age 12, I taught myself how to work my Apple IIe. By age 16, I was accessing online content when most of American had no clue that the Internet even existed. At age 24, when only a small percentage of corporate America was online, I was using the Internet to gather together a team of talented artists and writers to create unique tabletop games that would bring people together.
My love and excitement for computers and their ability to connect people together led me to use my talents for the church. I was one of the first church web designers to spearhead streaming media in order to deliver weekly sermons to deployed military members. I was soon asked to join a very select team of web experts to collaborate on an ambitious project to create a MySpace clone for Christians. Today, DTspace.net is still one of the largest and most visited Christian fellowship communities.
I was married in September 1995 to my beautiful, talented and amazingly gracious wife; Trina. Together we raise three boys and maintain a positive yet protective core set of Christian values in our home. Living online has shown me the wonders and power of the web… but I have also seen the darkest branches of cyberspace that most people will never know about. I know the highs and lows of online living and I am excited to raise my family to use new media to serve God and the global communities.
See ya online!
